Our Story

VALXERONIS was born out of a shared love for the ancient art of fermentation and a desire to revive this timeless tradition. Founded in 2015 in the heart of Portland, Oregon, our company was started by two college friends, Emma Lewis and Max Walker, whose love for crafting artisanal foods and beverages transformed their hobby into a thriving business.

Long before the fermentation craze took off, Emma and Max were experimenting in their kitchen labs, perfecting the art of sourdough, kombucha, and kimchi. They saw an opportunity to share their knowledge and passion by establishing a platform where enthusiasts could learn, connect, and cultivate their own fermentation skills. Thus, VALXERONIS was conceived.
